From my understanding they are planning to give us more highlight and interface colors in the future, just trying to keep it simple with the first release of the new UI. Other than that, congrats again on the rollout. Am I missing something? Maybe I just worked it wrong. I can set it up and I can save it, but the Avid won't let me use the menu-to keyboard mapping function to assign it a spot on the keyboard. For example, I wanted to set a workspace that was designed for motion fx ediing. AVID MEDIA COMPOSER INTERFACE WINDOWSI noticed that I can map some reconfigured workspaces to my keyboard - like the basic workspaces with tweaks to the size of various windows - but not others. How about it Avid? Are you going to give us a little more control over the interface in the future? or a least that much much darker shade of grey that was offered (on the far end of the color slider) in the earlier version of MC. Myself, I prefered skinning the Avid in black. If we can change the background colors of the bins, then we should be able to customize the highlight color as well, shouldn't we? And speaking of the interface colors, what happened to adjusting the light/dark mode? Now we're stuck with a single dark grey if we prefer it to the light grey mode. They can now bring Avid video editing compatibility to their hardware I/O cards and devices. really? Some of us like having highlights in maybe bright pale yellow - as was possible before 2019.6. Avid Open I/O allows manufacturers to develop their own plug-in for their hardware to function with Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter. I realize that Avid may have reduced the highlight colors available to white and Avid purple for some semblance of brand unity, but c'mon. That said, two things I gots to address - small things, perhaps, but maybe others feel the same way. So much to enjoy with this big update! Dockable panels FTW!
